How easy is doing a CBT for a 125cc Motorbike?

Im wanting to do a CBT for a 125 c motorbike. If you've done it before , how easy is it and what can I expect?

I hear that the instructors will take you on to public roads.

That combined with changing gears is my biggest concern. How easy is doing a CBT for a 125cc Motorbike?
It's pretty straight forward. Basically it's a 1 day course, you start off with the absolute basics (including your highway code knowledge) in a car park or closed, off road area. Firstly your instructor will just get you moving off and stopping, then progress to changing gear, then clutch control, turning, braking, mock junctions etc. Once you've got the basics he will take you out on the public road for a ride that usually lasts about 60 - 90 minutes. During this time he will assess if he feels that you are safe and competent, if he feels you are then you'll get a pass.

I would say most people pass on the first day but if your instructor has any doubts he may ask you to go back for a little more training before issuing your certificate.

I had never ridden a bike before my CBT and got through on the day even with torrential rain and howling wind! How easy is doing a CBT for a 125cc Motorbike?
It's easy.

They will allow you 1/2 day to get used to handling and changing gears off the road where it is nice and safe.

They won't let you on the road until you are ready.

It's honestly very easy to ride a motorbike.
Pretty easy.

I understand your concern with gearing though as it is a bit illogical but all i can say is practice shifting from high to neutral and you should be fine just make sure you don't keep popping into 1st failing that keep the clutch in
97% pass , I will find it hard to believe if you ';fail';.
When I started riding my biggest problem wasn't changing gear, it's surprisingly easy. My biggest problem was letting the clutch out and moving off I either stalled or let it out too quick and wheeled away. Just take your time and you should be fine.
Very Very easy

If you can ride a pushbike then you will come away after a day with the CBT crew with a pass

The idea is to make sure that you will be safe on the road without supervision. They will stay with you until that end is reached within the day

Good luck

  • How hard is it to learn to drive?

In some ways driving looks quite easy but in other ways it doesn't. For me im worried about the clutch and changing gears and parrallel parking. Isit really as hard as it looks? How hard is it to learn to drive?
for me the hardest parts were the clutch and co-ordinating everything once on the road for the first time

as with anything it appears so complex at first but the more you practice the easier it gets, parrallel parking is easy if you learn the right approach and learn the dimensions of the car you're driving

practice, practice, practice, practice, practice, practice and yet more practice is what will help

good luck and when you pass you'll wonder what all the fuss was about lolHow hard is it to learn to drive?
Easy to learn, but not easy to be good at.
not that hard if you take Drivers ED
no, it isn't that hard, although i guess it depends on the person. why don't you just get a car that you don't have to change gears with?

you'll learn in time it just takes a little getting used to.
    manual is pretty easy

just practice to be pro at it
Hey don't worry it's not hard at all if you drive about everyday for two weeks you'll get the hang of it.
I am trying to teach a 15 year old girl how to drive a stick , it is not as difficult as most think , just relax , and listen to who ever is showing you how to drive..peace
Parallel parking isn't that hard assuming nobody is behind you in which case it's a pain in the butt at least for me. However where I live it's only served me once and it's not part of the driving test.

Clutch and gear shifts take time to learn but it shouldn't be a big deal if you practice alot.
easy if you set your mind to learn and difficult if you get scared with the thought of driving, it all depends on you.
I'm a teenager and when I get my license, I'll be driving both automatic and standard. It's take time getting use to driving standard, because you also have to be focus on changing the gears. After lots of practice, it's in your instinct to know when to change gears so it wouldn't be so hard. If you go to a proper driving school, they'll teach all about different types of parking and whatever so don't worry.
just use an automatic car. just put the gear on D (it means drive) and put ur right foot on the gas pedal. put ur hands on the steering wheel and then drive. if u want to park put the gear on P (it means park). R means reverse, N means neutral.

as for parallel parking, i never had to know that when i was in drivers ed. my school does not require us to learn that.

but driving is easy if u have an automatic car. the hardest part is you getting arm cramp.
    No driving is easy .

    =]
Its not that hard but you have to be an aggressive driver. Im only ';13'; and i know how to drive. First i learned from go car in then i knew i was ready for the real car. I don't drive on the street though i drive in something like a campus. Not By MySelf. I learned how to drive in 2 days but when i drive i need someone to direct me for the parking part. Its fun though you will get the hang of it. Just keep calm when you drive.

    Good Luck!!! :-)
hey even i got a stick for my self its not hard at all infact ppl find it so cool so go ahead its gonna be a real good thing u'd do in life.

a little difficult if u compare to a auto but its cool and the best thing i s its good on gas specially with all these gas prices.

    All the Best
Its not hard, just pay attention to what you are doing and stay off the cell phone.

How to take the cable out of shifter that are the twisty type?

My bike is done... And my dads bike needs a new front fork so I'm gonna swap my whole front fork and handle bar assembly. How do I take the cable out of shifters that are the ones that you twist to change gear?

How much does a EGR valve cost to have replaced?

I have a 2000 Chevy Impala. I just had work on my car and when I got it back, it jerked when it was changing gears, which is something it never did before. Then my check engine light came on and they said that I needed my EGR valve replaced, how expensive does that repair get?How much does a EGR valve cost to have replaced?
its an easy job to do it your self if you have are mechanically inclined. if you have the 3800 V6 its very easy to replace your self the valve will cost you about 180 by its self. but you should try to clean it first most of the time the valve is just full of carbon and the solenoid will stick and that in turn will throw a check engine light. 8 times out of 10 EGR valves can just be cleaned out and put back in. But any mechanic will just replace it because it will make them more money. You could also just have the code cleared at your local auto zone for free. if the code does not come back than you are okay. All cars today use a computer system called OBD2. this system has a self diagnostic program in it that will constantly monitor the cars sensors and emission devices. If one of the sensors or emissions devices does not work right it will run a test and if fails the test than the computer will throw a check engine light. If you do it your self it will cost you 10 for the EGR gasket (if it rips) and about 180 for the EGR valve if its bad. A mechanic will chage you about 350 to have it replaced. if you have the 3400 V6 than the EGR valve is about 350 for a newone. and the labor is another 60 or 70.How much does a EGR valve cost to have replaced?
VERY!!!!!!!!!! labor not so bad{about one hour}.... the valve is around {are you sitting down} $345... yha...ask an nouther shop be for you do this an see there answer..
before you go through any of that check you vacuum lines they could have a leak, and its only $5 alot of times this is more likely.

I thought it was the transmission, but it's the wheel bearing?

My car, an automatic, didn't seem to change into the 5th gear. I took it to Aamco this morning to have the transmission checked out, and I fully expected they would tell me I need to have my transmission repaired or replaced.

Instead, they said it's the wheel bearing and that my transmission is just fine. My questions are:

    1. How much will this cost me, ball park figure? My car is a 1997 BMW 528.

    2. Is it possible that a wheel bearing can make the car feel and sound like it's not changing gears?I thought it was the transmission, but it's the wheel bearing?
    1. Between $500 to $800. These are sealed bearings and must be hydraulically pressed in.

    2. Yes, the noise they will generate will make it sound as if the last gear has not engaged.

Get this done ASAP as the heat generated by the bad bearing will cause other parts to be damaged. Example, the lugs will break off when you try to remove the lug nuts to change the tire.I thought it was the transmission, but it's the wheel bearing?
    1. labor wise id charge you 3.0 hrs for a front bearing

and 3.5hrs for a rear. not including 1.0 hr diagnosis time.

    2. if you see the rpm's dip when they normally would in 5th gear, then your trans is fine.

How do you check the transmission fluid in a 1978 GMC Sierra?

I have a 1978 GMC Sierra with manual shift transmission and I need to push the clutch all the way to the ground before it changes gears. Do I just need tranny fluid? If so, where do I check the fluid? Are there other potential problems I need to look out for?How do you check the transmission fluid in a 1978 GMC Sierra?
There is a fill plug in the side of the case. Remove it and stick your finger or a bent length of insulated wire in to check for fluid. The proper amount is up to the bottom of the hole. If the clutch is out of adjustment you will need to replace some linkage parts. I wouldn't bother with junk yard parts. They will be worn too.
