I think my gear box in my 1990 Mazda 323 needs to be replaced. It seems to reve hardout before it changes gears i cant really explain it properly but my boyfriend says the clutch is slipping, and it doesnt seem to grab properly. Does anyone know how much it would cost to get it replaced? i know you can get second hand gear boxes as its an old carHow much will it cost to replace an auto transmission?
You just need a new clutch set up and resurface the flywheel. About $300-400?

are you sure you don't just need a new $250-300 clutch.
