How much should it cost to have my 2000 jeep grand transmission rebuilt ?

The jeep has 170,000 on it and its an inline 6. Its starting to no go when I step on the gas like it should. it is having trouble changing gears. I was wondering what an average cost would be to have the transmission rebuilt and if its even worth it.How much should it cost to have my 2000 jeep grand transmission rebuilt ?
Prices you'll be quoted is for a rebuild using soft parts (gaskets, clutch plates, seals, etc). Hard parts are extra and more expensive. These parts are the unknown until tear-down and will be added to the overhaul price.

If you do a swap-out, you'll pay about $1500-$2000. It will be assumed that all your hard parts need replacement. Is it worth it? That's up to you.How much should it cost to have my 2000 jeep grand transmission rebuilt ?
ouch transmissions are an expensive fix, if it needs rebuilt you may look to spend around 1200 to 2000 depending on rebuilt or new... the best thing to do is to call around to local transmission shops and price it around in your area. the range i gave you is what i found when i was looking to get a transmission replaced in a 6cyl cutlass last summer.
