How to pace yourself in a 2.5k run?

Hey, Im 13 years old and was wondering whats a good pace to run 2.5k, like sprint at begining and or take it slow at begining and middle of race change gears and go fast or what? How to pace yourself in a 2.5k run?
you are still quite young. I wouldn't go out too hard, but try to increase the speed once you are in a good rythm, feeling comfortable and then give it all towards the end. Later with regular training when you get confident on the distance, you can go out hard right from the beginning on this distance and see how far it takes you. It's all about getting to know your body, regular training and daily form. Don't push it too hard too early though. How to pace yourself in a 2.5k run?
I'm 13 as well, i can pretty much jog the whole 2.5k when i force myself too! xD just keep a steady pace and don't change the rhythm of your pace too much if you don't have as good of a stamina.

Being a runner myself, I would make it feel like a 5k for the first half-mile (which will feel slow but is probably the right approach), up the intensity during the second half-mile, and then use up whatever is left in the tank for third half-mile. With this approach, your pace will remain fairly constant but your effort will increase the closer you get to the end of the race.
