Why does my car smells burnt?

I've noticed it twice now.. it's not a regular burnt smell, I'm not sure how to describe it. My dad recently changed my brakes so I'm wondering if that could be it, although when I asked him he said it might be my clutch. I haven't noticed any issues with it but I do like to drive pretty fast so I change gears kind of late to make it speed up quicker, if that makes sense. Why does my car smells burnt?
yes it could be the brakes.when they are new they will smell until they get broke in to the rotors. yes a clutch can smell too if it,s slipping and also a cat converter can stink too if it starts to clog up.Why does my car smells burnt?
if it's sort of a scorched metal smell it probably is your clutch i think your dad is right or maybe its just burning oil
Disconnect your battery and have a mechanic come look at it! I have had a car fire b4
try driving it like a person thats worried about there clutch see if the smell goes away
