Does it matter how fast you change gears in an automatic car (while in 0mph)? Will that ruin the transmittion?

With the foot on the gas ofcourse. Example: from drive straight to park.Does it matter how fast you change gears in an automatic car (while in 0mph)? Will that ruin the transmittion?
If your car is at idle it won't matter how fast you move your gear select in an automatic because your car isn't trying to drive. If you have your car revving and try to do it your engine is turning faster which is pumping the oil in the transmission faster and the transmission is wanting to drive the car.

Your PARK position has a pin to stop the transmission from moving and is why the car doesn't roll. If REVERSE out and still rolling backwards and change your shift to DRIVE and accelerate you can destroy your transmission to the extent of a full rebuild ofr a complete swap-over.

When you rev up your automatic you increase the oil flow and oil pressure inside your transmission. Your oil operates a valve system which operates a clutch system. Those clutches can break and shatter and the friction disks in those clutches can wear out if abused... so... YES... it can cause damageDoes it matter how fast you change gears in an automatic car (while in 0mph)? Will that ruin the transmittion?
if your talking about shifting from drive to park while your car is moving its gonna mess up your trannny dont do that
That will snap the parking pin in the trans. And if you do it in forward gears as long as you don't miss a shaft, you should not hurt it
How can you have your foot on the gas but be doing 0mph?
