Does anyone know how to change the shift change ratio on 2001 mitsubihi mirage?

I have a 2001 mitsubishi mirage it is an automatic and when it changes gears it drops 10,000 rpms.i.e from 45 rpm it will drop down on shift change to 3000 rpm I want to know what i can do to get these ratios to change and please dont say buy a new transmission this one only has 51,000 miles on it. Someone please help.Does anyone know how to change the shift change ratio on 2001 mitsubihi mirage?
Shift kits are available for some cars that will change the shift points by changing the ECU's programming. They're expensive, though, and not easy to install. The ratios will be the same, but it will shift at higher RPM's.



In order to change the ratios, you would have to (you guessed it) change the transmission. The planetary gear is the heart of the transmission, and changing that would be so expensive and would require so much fabrication that you'd be better off with another car, let alone transmission.
