Im new to driving.....whenever i change gears there is a small jerk...how do i get rid of it...?

May be you are releasing the clutch suddenly. Try to release the clutch slowly. By practice you will learn it .

When we change the gear, we have to press the clutch, change the gear and release the clutch slowly and then give accelerator slowly .Im new to driving.....whenever i change gears there is a small jerk...how do i get rid of it...?
Don't be so quick off the clutch?Im new to driving.....whenever i change gears there is a small jerk...how do i get rid of it...?
practice
lift your foot off the clutch sloooower :)
Press the clutch fully before using the gear knob.
just be smoother, push clutch down, select gear and then release the clutch much slower then you are now, you will stop that jerky feeling and after a couple of weeks it will be natural to you.
Practice, its a timing issue on your part between your clutch pedal and your gas pedal. Eventually, you'll figure it out.
Take your foot off the clutch slower. And shift just a bit quicker. Take your time and practice in lime an empty parking lot. It takes practice no matter what people say.
Don't worry ....its a common problem for all learner..... Press the clutch fully to change the gears then and leave ur foot slowly.......... u need more practice (but not incrowdic place )
Tell the small jerk to get out and buy a car of his own.
whenever u drive make sure that the clutch is gripped firmly.

Now while changing gears, use an easy hand and do not press upon the gear handle too hard .

This will put minimum amount of pressure upon the gear box.

Finally release half of the clutch first and put the other leg upon the accelerator.

now start releasing the other half and putting pressure upon the accelerator further.

In this way the gear box will not jerk at all.
Try to release the Clutch Slowly.... Practice half clutch... It is Difficult for the Beginners to concentrate on Clutch,Acceleration,Gear simultaneously Steering..

Practice that's it.....Go for a long run....try for a Perfect Shift Every time you Drive...
1. Press the clutch down to max.

2. Once gear shift is done release the clutch slowly

3. Make sure you follow Speed / Gear ratio:

10 - 20 : 1st Gear

20 - 30 : 2nd

30 - 40 : 3rd

40 - 50 : 4th

50 + : 5th

These steps might sound like a great struggle but it takes few hours to be perfect.
Not using the clutch properly.Should release it slowly and gradually.
your not giving it enough gas once you change the gears and let the clutch out a little bit slower and you won,t get the jerk. you will learn, it only takes practice.
practice on plain roads, with less traffic... you'll get used to the clutch... will take time.. i think you can do it...
Don't pull your leg from the clutch quickly.....do it slowly other wise you may spoil the gears
